Project Endeavour In partnership with the National Library of Australia, Dr Paul Turnbull will develop an on-line interactive multimedia resource focussed on the Cook voyages. This archive will reproduce Cook's Endeavour journal with an annotated transcription, which will represent the complex cross-cultural nature of the voyage and the encounters, particularly in Australia. Indigenous constructions of these histories will be acknowledged and presented as fully as is feasible. In the future, the resource may be expanded to range over other voyages, exploration, and colonial histories, in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. http://coombs.anu.edu.au/~cookproj/ http://coombs.anu.edu.au/~cookproj/project/start.html 2000-10-31
